Syd King
Saint Sydney - Solo Show

Combining stand-up, puppetry, game show, tap dance, and a single cartwheel, you will leave understanding why good girls don’t go bad, they go sad.
Brought to you by former adult virgin and NYC comedian Syd King, it's Saint Sydney! This solos how takes Syd's 12 years of attending an Indiana Catholic school and looks at why she took purity culture terribly seriously; shamed friends for OWNING yoga pants, SLAPPED PEOPLE WHEN THEY CURSED, and did almost anything but love thy neighbor. Syd is now publicly atoning for her sins and comforting anyone that says "not really" when a doctor asks if they are sexually active, a little better. Directed by Vannessa Jackson (SNL, Colbert, A Black Lady Sketch Show)

“Sydney is disarmingly sincere and quietly fearless. I laughed a lot and left feeling lighter — like someone gently set my guilt down for me. Sydney is a force in plaid skirt and punchlines and Saint Sydney is a rare kind of comedy - soft, sweet and hilariously human. "

”Like everything was on point. The narrative, the jokes intertwined, the incredibly real moments, the props, the PUPPET, the on cue split, it was so fun”

“Syd King is on fire! Her show is personal, insightful, and incredibly original. She takes a deep dive into her tween years and catholic upbringing, and the result is comedic genius. One of the funniest performances I’ve seen in a long time. It has humour! Heart! And argyle sweaters!”
